Interesting day in my practice weight loss Department. Everyone was a "winner" this week with a range of 3 to 12.8 pounds lost in one week. Usually, women on average lose 3-5 pounds per week and my book 12.8 loser-winner was a man. It is in fact the most great losing a week we've had to date. We had other losses a week of 12 books for men but the 12.8 strapped to the folder. I had three women and two new clients this week so far I had to do a Lives with staff to change beliefs. (last updated 28 February 2013 this record has been exceeded with a lb of 16.4 week a lost, a 18.8 lbs lbs 21.5 most recent loses and for the first week male clients.) Men always lose weight faster but a loss of first week 8 kN for a woman is common.)
Today a weight loss patient me absolutely, she hates to cook and fears the test every day. Fact of the matter is that she does not know how to Cook, I am serious, she hates so much that she never took the time to learn how to cook a chicken breast and vegetables for a stir-fry. Now, the fact that she does not know how to cook could also play a role in this "dread" that she feels. The first thing I did in session with it, it is clear the feelings of fear she experiences around 16, knowing that she'll have to scrounge something for the family, McDonald anyone, is the common theme, she confesses, once or twice a week.
I administered several passages of the process of mind clear profound liberation and erased dread, frustration, overwhelm, irritation, anger, guilt and shame. Then, we created a statement of faith, "I'm a good cook and I am pleased to make healthy meals for my family." Initially it was not congruent with this statement, in other words, no there was no 'software' in his subconscious to substantiate this allegation. In a few minutes, I downloaded successfully a new statement of faith and with a gleam in her eyes, she reiterated the new belief for me with conviction and purpose. Only ten minutes earlier she told me that she hated cooking, that she was a terrible Cook, she feared the lunch hour and she hated eating what ever she prepared in the kitchen.
She left my office excited to go to the store and prepare its first real dinner for his family, with a protein, vegetables and new spices. I discussed with her how to cook a fried chicken and I have described the Visual beauty of the vegetables in the Pan and the interesting variety of spices, use it that his family will love. It has demonstrated an immediate and dramatic change in emotion, thought and behavior - seriously negative to highly positive, feelings of fear to cook to excited and enthusiastic.
It there was no way that she was never going away successfully its weight unless it is the pivot taking advantage of cooking a healthy meal in her own kitchen. My slim programme is all about the weight loss for life, to reach a target and gain weight back is not at all acceptable. I always insist in all my blogs and all my slim client down than the gain of weight and weight loss is 50% physical or diet and 50%, mental/emotional/habit and I strive to treat them.
One of the reasons that our patients achieve a weight loss for life is because once they reach their ideal target weight and their weight-loss program is completed, do not abandon us them. Really, the program is never over for these people, they keep coming for frequent and periodic body weigh-ins comp for no booking fees. It is essential that they have lifetimes followed, accountability and coaching on how to lose early gains weight on their own with ordinary food. We say toll because it can be for them to the obstacles coming for these vital health assessments and coaching. The emphasis is always on the weight loss for life and empowerment.
